Jorge R. Calderón-López is dedicated to resolving construction claims and disputes. He is an Architect, Attorney, Expert Witness, Mediator, Arbitrator and Forensic Construction Consultant. Mr. Calderón-López is a Registered Architect. He has over 20 years experience in the public and private sectors of the construction industry.

As an Architect, the types of projects Mr. Calderón-López has managed range from Residential to Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Corporate as well as Interior Architecture in both private and public sectors.

Mr. Calderón-López is also a licensed attorney with a degree from the Interamerican School of Law. He concentrates in the area of construction dispute resolution. He has been an Expert Witness and Consultant in various construction litigation cases. He has testified on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Calderón-López clients are diverse and always able to include Public and Private Owners, Sureties, Designers, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Fabricators and Suppliers.

Mr. Calderón-López is a certified mediator ready and able to help in the resolution of construction disputes through negotiation after conversations between the parties have become stagnant due to the unrealistic expectations of one or more of them. In such cases, Mr. Calderón-López can bring a fresh and unbiased approach to the matter resulting in a productive and often more realistic continuation of the resolution process. Mediation, as an alternate dispute resolution process, has broken stalemates in the past which have resulted in acceptable settlements and or project continuation.

Mr. Calderón-López can assist attorneys and their clients in the evaluation of liability issues and their associated damages. He can determine the cause and possible financial impact of cost overruns, productivity loss, project interference and project disruption. He can help with all phases of discovery, witness identification and preparation, document organization and control, exhibit preparation, trial assistance and testimony.
